THE POLKA DOT FROCK || DOTTY HISTORY
- Just a little trivia, did you know that polka dots has been around since mid 1920's? I found out that after Ms. America been photographed in a polka dot swimsuit in 1926, American's been in-love with this flecks since then. A few years after Disney present the ever beloved Minnie Mouse on a polka frock with the cute bow. Read more about the brief history of polka dots and how it evolves written by Chloe Pantazi of The Hairpin.com
- I never got the chance to wear this dress after I purchase it few months back in a thrift store. It's original price is Ph80 ($2 approx) then it went on sale I got it for Ph35, few cents of a dollar I think. My long term relationship with thrifting is not a secret to anyone, I start thrifting clothes when I was only 14 years old, a Fashionista wannabe back then, but I don't have the knowledge on the "basics". I just wear what I love and pairing uncomplimentary pieces together. ;) I'm not a fond of polka dot really but as I grew older (with this blog) I learn to appreciate this very antique style of clothing.
- The last dot polka dot dress that I wore is last seen here . Have worn this, when I was just recovering by flu, but yet suffer symptoms of cough and cold. Sobssss, I just didn't give the justice that the dress deserves and to my pictures too, I might pair with this scarf, pin curls or something rockabilly-esque look. What do you think?
- Hope you're doing okay!

BLACK IS HOT, I AM NOT!
Though summer is a perfect season for wearing neon colors, vivid hues and pretty pastels, I push to be different at this time. Even the dark colors are perfect for cold seasons, though I broke fashion rules wearing black on summer days! Why not??

On the other hand maybe you have noticed that I am becoming rounder and rounder… oh.. Food and stress is the main culprit! I am always tired and I trained myself to thinking things! And I ended up like a piggy Fashionista Hamster.. Yes a hamster! Oh well, I hope I will find time to work out for my body to healthy at least.
To tell you honestly when we took this picture we’re
planning for dinner out… Guilt-ridden
situation Shame on me… and take note, we’ve gone for a Korean Buffet.. Guilty pleasures indeed..

SANGUINE
Red or sanguine is my 2nd favorite color next to white
and black. I occasionally used red clothing although I don’t have many red
cloths in my wardrobe. But as of Sanguine itself as of to the five temperaments,
I have a big amount of sanguinity on my personality, like I am quite creative with
full of ideas in my messy mind. I sometimes struggle on following tasks and
chronically late, tend to be very forgetful and a little bit sarcastic (which
sometimes I hate my sarcasm). And as the sanguine person I love being warm
hearted and optimistic but I don’t really think I am fully extrovert human
being.
Thriftier's Outfit:
Floral Crown - DIY
Floral Dress - Rachels
Red Coat - Thrift
Platform Boots - Asian Vogue
As of my outfit, you see the floral dress that I've worn last post because we shoot this the same day. Just had an idea of two looks in one shot. I had this dainty red coat for over a year
now, "as usual" again this is my first time to grab and wear it from the
closet. I bought it, I think half a dollar or less on our Local Thrift stores downtown. I add this statement head crown which I really enjoy doing.
I think I project too much on this last photo..How about you? Are you a Sanguine person too? Or melancholic,
choleric, phlegmatic?
Feel free to share your thoughts and your blog links too, I love to follow back.. <3
Sanguinaria,
Cassie
